Indoor Stage Audio Case in Tanzania: Q212 Line Array + F221 Subwoofer System, Creating an Immersive Audio Experience for 800 People

Location: Tanzania
Date: June 2025
Project Type: Indoor stage
I. Project Background
The client for this cooperation is from Tanzania, and the audio system is mainly used for various events such as celebrations and gatherings on the local indoor multi-functional stage. The indoor stage covers a total area of approximately 400 square meters and can accommodate 800 people at the same time, serving as an important cultural and social event venue in the region. Previously, the stage suffered from issues such as uneven audio coverage, unclear vocals, and unstable equipment operation. Especially during large-scale events, the audience in the back row could hardly hear the stage sound clearly, which seriously affected the event experience and the quality of the event.
In June 2025, after comprehensive comparison and investigation, the client finally chose to cooperate with us. The core reasons are that we have professional audio debugging technology, which can accurately match the acoustic environment of the indoor stage; at the same time, the audio equipment we provide has been proven through long-term market testing to be extremely stable, capable of meeting the high-frequency and long-term use needs of the indoor stage, and completely solving the core pain points of their audio system.
II. Customer Needs
Combined with the usage scenario of the indoor stage (events for 800 people such as celebrations and gatherings), the client put forward clear project goals and core challenges, with the core needs focusing on two aspects: First, clear sound quality—ensuring that all 800 audience members in the stage can hear various sounds such as vocals and music clearly, without noise or interruptions, and with uniform sound field coverage. Second, equipment stability—it must be able to adapt to the long-term, high-power operation needs of the indoor stage, running continuously for hours without failures or freezes, avoiding any impact on the smooth progress of events due to equipment issues.
In addition, the client also had implicit needs: The installation of the audio system must fit the indoor stage layout, without affecting the stage's appearance and event processes; the debugging process must be efficient and quick, minimizing interference with the normal use of the venue.
III. Our Solution
To meet the client's core needs, as well as the acoustic characteristics of the indoor stage and the coverage requirements for 800 people, our team conducted professional on-site surveys and program demonstrations, and customized an exclusive audio solution for the client. The core configuration includes 6 Q212 line array speakers, 4 F221 subwoofers, and 4 STX815 monitor speakers, providing comprehensive guarantee for sound quality and stability.
First, we dispatched a professional technical team to conduct an on-site survey of the indoor stage, accurately measuring key parameters such as venue size, ceiling height, and wall materials. Combined with the acoustic reflection characteristics of the indoor space and the principle of symmetrical placement, we planned the installation position and angle of the speakers: The 6 Q212 line array speakers and 4 F221 subwoofers are placed symmetrically on both sides, with the Q212 line array speakers installed directly above the F221 subwoofers to form a stacked layout. This not only ensures uniform sound coverage without blind spots but also optimizes the sound field superposition effect, making the transition between high, mid, and low frequencies more natural, perfectly meeting the audio needs of the 800-person indoor stage. The 4 STX815 monitor speakers are placed at the front of the stage, facing the performers, to ensure that performers can clearly hear their own voices and background music, while avoiding sound reflection to the audience area and interfering with the audience experience, thus ensuring the stage performance effect.
Second, we performed professional programming and debugging to optimize sound quality parameters, balance high, mid, and low frequencies, and suppress noise and howling, ensuring clear and transparent vocals, rich and layered music. At the same time, we conducted full-power load testing on the equipment to ensure that the system can operate continuously at high power without failures, fully meeting the client's needs for long-term use.

V. Implementation Process
To ensure the efficient implementation of the project and the quality of audio system installation, debugging, and use, we strictly followed the standardized implementation process of "Survey - Installation - Testing", with professional control throughout the entire process. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Survey and Program Planning
After the project started, our professional technical team conducted a comprehensive on-site survey of the client's indoor stage in Tanzania, accurately measuring key parameters such as venue area, ceiling height, wall materials, and stage size, analyzing the acoustic characteristics of the indoor environment, and identifying potential factors that may affect sound quality (such as wall reflection and venue blind spots). At the same time, we reconfirmed details with the client, including event types, frequency of use, and coverage requirements for 800 people. Combining the performance characteristics of the Q212, F221, and STX815 speakers, we developed a detailed speaker installation layout plan, debugging plan, and implementation schedule, clarifying the responsibilities and milestones of each link to ensure the plan is scientific, feasible, and fully meets the client's needs. After the client's confirmation, we launched the subsequent implementation work.
2. Installation and Programming Debugging
In accordance with the established plan, our professional installation team went to the site with the equipment and performed installation operations in strict accordance with the specifications: First, place the F221 subwoofers and STX815 monitor speakers in the designated positions, then hoist and fix the Q212 line array speakers directly above the F221 subwoofers, adjusting the hoisting angle to ensure no blind spots in coverage. We fixed all equipment firmly, connected the relevant lines, ensuring standardized and firm connections, and sorted and protected the lines to avoid confusion affecting use and appearance. After installation, the technical team conducted professional programming and debugging, including sound field balance, sound quality optimization, volume adjustment, and howling suppression. Through repeated debugging, we ensured the balance of high, mid, and low frequencies, clear vocals and rich music, and the monitor effect met the performers' needs. At the same time, we tested the stability of the equipment to identify potential faults.
3. Testing and Optimization
After debugging, we conducted a full-scenario simulation test: simulating the on-site environment of an 800-person event, playing various audio such as vocals and music, and arranging personnel to test the sound clarity and volume at different positions in the venue (front row, back row, corners) and record the test data. At the same time, we conducted a long-term high-power load test, running the equipment continuously for more than 8 hours to observe the operation status and check for overheating, sound interruption, noise, and other issues. Based on the test results, we made precise adjustments to the sound quality parameters and speaker angles until all indicators met the client's requirements, ensuring no audio problems during the event.
