1. Project Background
In June 2025, a well-known event planning company in Kazakhstan collaborated with us to provide professional audio system support for the large-scale outdoor music festival it hosted. The music festival was held in an open outdoor venue in Kazakhstan, with a planned audience capacity of 5,000 people, covering diverse music genres such as pop, electronic, and folk, making it a highly influential cultural and entertainment event in the region.
The core pain points of this project were the open outdoor venue and the large span of the audience area. - Equipment Stability: The music festival performance lasts for a long time, requiring the audio system to operate continuously at high power without faults or sound interruptions, adapt to complex outdoor environments, have a certain level of waterproof and dustproof capabilities, cope with outdoor temperature changes and environmental interference, and ensure the smooth progress of the entire performance.
- Debugging Adaptability: Be able to flexibly adjust audio parameters according to the outdoor venue's acoustic environment and performance genres (pop, electronic, folk, etc.), suppress howling and sound feedback, achieve an immersive auditory experience with transparent human voices and shocking low frequencies, and meet the performance needs of different artists.
- Efficient Implementation: Require a professional team to follow up the whole process to ensure the efficient advancement of the entire process of audio system survey, installation, debugging, and testing, complete the deployment on time without affecting the rehearsal and official performance schedule of the music festival, and provide on-site operation and maintenance support to handle sudden problems in a timely manner.
3. Our Solution
In response to the needs and outdoor venue pain points of this 5,000-person music festival in Kazakhstan, after precise survey and program demonstration, we finally determined to adopt the L-Solution line array combination scheme. With 12 K210-A line array speakers as the main sound reinforcement system, 4 KS28-A subwoofer speakers as the ultra-low sound supplement system, combined with professional DSP processors and customized DSP presets, and scientific venue deployment and debugging strategies, we comprehensively solved the problems of outdoor audio coverage and stability. The specific scheme is as follows:
- Equipment Combination: 12 K210-A line array speakers are used, hung in two groups on both sides of the stage, responsible for the coverage and reproduction of mid-to-high frequency sound in the entire venue; 4 KS28-A subwoofer speakers are arranged on the stage floor in an End-fire array layout, responsible for supplementing low-frequency energy and enhancing the on-site shocking feeling. The two work together to achieve balanced output of full-band sound and adapt to the needs of diverse music genres.
- DSP Preset Optimization: Combined with the acoustic characteristics of the outdoor venue and the distribution of the audience area, customized exclusive DSP preset parameters are formulated. Through EQ adjustment, delay calibration (≤10ms), limiter control and other functions, outdoor sound feedback and howling are suppressed, sound wave interference is eliminated, ensuring consistent sound phase and uniform coverage in the entire venue. At the same time, it matches the audio characteristics of different music genres, realizes accurate reproduction of human voices and musical instruments, so that there is no harsh feeling in the front row, no blurriness in the back row, and uniform listening experience in the entire venue.
- Venue Deployment Planning: According to the venue size and audience distribution, accurately calculate the hanging height (10-12 meters) and angle of the K210-A line array to ensure vertical coverage of the entire audience area; the KS28-A subwoofer speakers are placed in a cardioid mode to optimize low-frequency directivity, reduce turbulence and noise, improve low-frequency transmission distance and impact, and avoid acoustic blind spots in the venue, achieving 100% sound coverage of the audience area, and the effective outdoor coverage distance meets the venue needs.
- Redundancy Guarantee: Equipped with backup power amplifiers and signal transmission equipment, establish a full-link active-standby redundancy mechanism. A single point of failure will not affect the operation of the entire system. At the same time, a professional technical team is arranged to be on-site to provide operation and maintenance support throughout the process, ensuring the stable operation of the audio system during the performance, handling various sudden problems in a timely manner, and ensuring zero interruption and zero failure of the audio system during the entire performance.

5. Implementation Process
To ensure the timely, efficient and stable implementation of the audio system, we set up a professional project team, strictly followed the standardized implementation process, followed up all links of the project throughout the process, and formulated a detailed implementation plan combined with the outdoor venue characteristics and the music festival time node. The specific process is as follows:
- Pre-survey and Plan Refinement (7 days before the performance): The project team arrived at the performance venue in Kazakhstan, conducted a comprehensive survey of the venue size, topography, and acoustic environment, accurately measured the span of the audience area, the stage position, and the distribution of surrounding obstacles. Combined with the survey data, the audio deployment plan was optimized, clarifying the hanging points of the K210-A line array, the placement position of the KS28-A subwoofer, and the direction of DSP parameter presets. - Equipment Transportation and On-site Installation (3 days before the performance): Completed the inspection, packaging and transportation of 12 K210-A line array speakers, 4 KS28-A subwoofer speakers and supporting equipment in advance to ensure that the equipment is free of damage and faults; after arriving at the scene, the professional installation team quickly completed the line array hanging, subwoofer placement, power amplifier and DSP processor wiring and other work in accordance with the preset plan, strictly controlled the hanging safety and the standardization of line connection.
